Severus was subjected to the iron sternness, then on his fingers were put burning rings, then he was girded with an iron belt, heated on fire, and finally he was cut off in the head. Centurion Memnon was laid on two poles and given to torture, with the martyrs cut off from his skin three belts from head to foot; then the martyrs cut off the hands and feet of Memnon and the other thirty-seven martyrs, unleashing the great fire and torturing all the martyrs of Christ.
